This year, as we celebrate Davians exciting rebranding, it’s the perfect time to look back at the incredible journey that brought us to where we are today. From humble beginnings to a diverse food service solution, our story is one of continuous evolution and a commitment to serving our community.
The Early Years: Vending and Expansion
Our roots stretch back to 1958, when we first opened our doors as D&S Vending. Back then, our focus was on providing convenient snacks and cigarettes to businesses, but as the years went on, our vision grew. In 1973, we built our dedicated facility in Butler, Wisconsin, laying down a more permanent foundation and just a year later, in 1974, expanded our offerings to include fresh food services, a pivotal step that began our journey into prepared meals. Our commitment to growth continued into the next decade, as we added additional square footage to our Butler building in 1982 to accommodate our expanding operations.
New Horizons: Events and Acquisitions
The 1990s ushered in another significant chapter for Davians. In 1990, we made a strategic move, opening a new location on Silver Spring that also introduced our dedicated event spaces. This expansion allowed us to cater to a broader range of client needs, from weddings and special occasions to corporate gatherings. Our growth through acquisition began in 2007 when we purchased a local vending and coffee company, further solidifying our market
presence and enhancing our beverage services. This strategic expansion set the stage for a major milestone just a year later: our 50th Anniversary in 2008, a proud celebration of half a century of dedicated service.
Modern Era: Innovation and Rebranding
The last few years have seen Davians continue to innovate and adapt. In 2021, we opened the Davians Office Coffee building, a testament to our commitment to providing top-tier coffee solutions for workplaces and a return to our Butler roots. And now, in 2025, we’re thrilled to unveil our Davians rebranding, a fresh new look that reflects our modern approach while honoring our rich history.
